
Margaret S. English, JD, CFP (“Meg”) has been with LPL Financial since July 2011. She began her practice in 1981. She holds her Series 5, 7, 15, 63 and 65 licenses held with LPL Financial. Before joining LPL Financial, she served as a financial advisor for Stifel Nicholas, Paine Webber, Rotan Mosle, Shearson Lehman Hutton and NYLIFE Securities. Throughout her practice she has served both institutional and individual clients.
Although Meg is not a native to Colorado, she is proud to call Colorado her home for more than 50 years. She is a 1976 graduate of Kent Denver (formerly The Kent School for Girls). She received her B.A. in History and B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1980. She was conferred her Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1987. She became a Certified Financial Planner in 2001.
From 1989 to 1997, Meg practiced law for two major law firms. Her areas of expertise included public finance, corporate finance, securities law and merger and acquisitions.
In 1997 she returned the securities industry to practice with her husband. Together, they serviced clients from around the country providing planning, analysis and implementing wealth management strategies. Meg practiced with her husband until his death in 2013.
Meg’s diverse wealth management experiences make her positioned to help families devise their financial plans and implement wealth management strategies. Meg is committed to understanding each individual’s unique situation. She recognizes the importance each family places on their financial success. Meg is compassionate and versatile.
Meg is delighted to be joined by her daughter Katherine Thomas, LPL Registered Administrative Associate. Together Katherine and Meg continue the teamwork, dedication, integrity and honesty which are the foundation of the practice. Meg is delighted that Katherine will continue the practice for the benefit of the practice’s multi-generations.
Away from the business, she enjoys ballet, running, traveling, attending musicals and plays and spending time with her children. Meg is an avid Colorado Rockies’ and Denver Broncos’ fan and an active member of the Episcopal Church.
